About Me

Hello! My name is Diana- occasionally referred to as @dianamakescoffee– and this is my blog about coffee in the Carolinas.

I take coffee pretty seriously. I am the Co-Creator and Director of Coffee at Undercurrent Coffee in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m a Specialty Coffee Association Certified Barista, Instructor and Examiner. I serve on the Barista Guild of America’s Events Council, and have had the pleasure of tech judging on the national stage for the United States Barista Championships. I’ve been a contributing writer for Barista Magazine since 2015, and have worked with a number of companies throughout the Carolinas as a barista educator and café consultant. Some of my past clients and cohorts have included Pure Intentions Coffee, CoCo and the Director, Amelie’s French Bakery, Espresso Mechanics and Southend Grind CLT.

In an effort to connect the diverse, talented individuals putting roots down in the specialty coffee industry in Charlotte, I created the Charlotte Coffee Collective in 2015. To date, we have over 300 members, host monthly events around the city and just generally have a fun time together. In all that I do, I strive to help the local coffee community flourish.

If you’re interested in contributing to the conversation with a post or if you have an idea on what I should write about next, give me a holler. If you’d like to chat about coffee, collaborate on coffee events, or receive a coffee consultation for your business, I’d be happy to talk shop.

My email is dianavmn@gmail.com and I look forward to growing with you!

In Coffee We Trust,
Diana
